a simple script to allow users to fill out a form on your site with there question or query and then have your site send it to your email,, a working version can be seen on my site, www.7th-hell.com under the contact devil link, i’ve pre fixed it to work for with TB source code so just follow instructions in zip

instructions:

1. make a link in bittorrent.php and name it “contact us” or “submit query” (you get the idea)
2. target the link towards “contact.php”
3. in sendeail change where it says ‘YOUR EMAIL’ to your email address
4 upload both contact.php and sendeail.php to your sites root directory.

Here is the Fixed php file for users wanting to recover their passwords via a hint form.
the version that is floating about had a print on each line for table
etc etc… as you know
i.e. and latest updates of browsers have issues with dealing with this and will only see the full Printed table.

And whoever did this original coding used ” inside the following < ? / } >? which just seemed to send the browser crazy

This isn’t the only fix in this file as there is too much to explain be easier to just copy and paste this into recoverhint.php

Why are Mass PMs bad?

When you mass PM members, you create a message for each individual you mass PM. If you mass PM 3,000 members, then you generate 3,000 PMs.

What a waste…

The following code will generate one single message, then intelligently select the recipients of this message. I say intelligently, because you can target ALL power users, and any member who gets promoted or demoted into that target group after the message has been sent, will also receive that message.

The announcement also has one other feature. It will expire, so you can select an expiry, knowing that when the message dies, so will all the table entries associated with it.

I still have one final script to code, which is an administration script, but what follows is the complete implementation of the announcement code.
